Mechanics and counters

  • Leg gears and Vulcans

    Pattern
    In phase 1, you can destroy the leg gears on both sides and the two Vulcans beside its head. Destroying only one Vulcan doubles the other's damage.
    Counter
    Destroying the leg gears deals heavy damage, so target them first, and destroy both Vulcans.

  • Chained interruptions after the roar

    Pattern
    Chained interruptions with short circle timers appear. If you fail, rockets and missiles rain down and break your cover.
    Counter
    Time your Full Burst and break them with fast-firing weapons. Success deals heavy damage.

  • Fire breath

    Pattern
    Deals burn damage over time to everyone. If you tank it, the damage over time can bring your squad down.
    Counter
    Always take cover. It follows up with fireballs at one Nikke, so stay in cover.

  • Phase 2 twin-headed wyvern

    Pattern
    The left head uses lightning lasers, the right head drops meteors, and its wings fire masses of small missiles.
    Counter
    Heal through the lasers, and clear the meteors and missiles with an AoE Burst or projectile-clearing Nikkes. If you're short on time, focus one head.

Tribe Tower teams

Each Tribe Tower only allows Nikkes from that manufacturer. The Pilgrim/Overspec tower also allows Overspec Nikkes.

Good to know

  • The first campaign boss where Liter, who repairs cover, is practically required. Without Liter, bring a healer like Helm.
