A drill Rapture that burrows toward you. The basics: keep breaking interruption circles with shotguns.

Mechanics and counters

  • Interruption circles and approach

    Pattern
    It sways as it approaches, and interruption circles keep appearing. Breaking a circle pushes it back; miss several in a row and its drill hits everyone hard.
    Counter
    Break circles as soon as they appear. Shotguns make this easy since the boss is always within range.

  • Drill missiles

    Pattern
    Fires drill missiles in phases 1 and 2, stunning any Nikke hit for a long time.
    Counter
    Shoot them down or block them with cover.

  • Phase 2 armor break

    Pattern
    When its armor breaks, the drill is exposed and interruption circles appear three at a time in a triangle.
    Counter
    Save enough firepower to break all three circles. You can survive the earlier phase's drill attack once in cover.

  • Phase 3 charge

    Pattern
    Once the drill breaks too, it moves fast and erratically. Failing an interruption now means a cover-piercing attack that all but wipes your squad.
    Counter
    Hold back your damage slightly to build the gauge, so Full Burst is ready just before phase 3.

Recommended Nikkes and teams

Union Raid Iron team

Stacks Iron attackers to clear interruption circles and drill missiles quickly. Grave's piercing shots deal damage, and Helm: Aquamarine both supports and attacks.

Tribe Tower teams

Each Tribe Tower only allows Nikkes from that manufacturer. The Pilgrim/Overspec tower also allows Overspec Nikkes.

Missilis

The standard Missilis core, with Liter, Tia and Naga on cooldown, shields and healing, and Ein and Quency: Escape Queen dealing damage.

Good to know

  • Leave out SRs if you can. The moving boss and its circles are hard to hit with them.
