Mechanics and counters

  • Poison sacs and toxic rounds

    Pattern
    The poison sacs on both sides of its body deal stacking damage over time to multiple Nikkes. They regrow after being destroyed, and if left alone they keep spewing small poison rounds.
    Counter
    Destroy poison sacs as soon as they appear. In phase 1 its blade parts are covered, so pierce attacks have the edge.

  • Iron code barrier

    Pattern
    While gathering toxic dust, it raises a barrier and three interruption circles over its poison sacs. Only Iron code can break the barrier.
    Counter
    Break the three circles with Iron Nikkes. Always bring at least one Iron Nikke.

  • Stomp and poison rounds

    Pattern
    Charges up and slams down for heavy damage and stun, then immediately sprays poison rounds.
    Counter
    Block the shockwave with cover or a shield, and take the following poison rounds in cover. Manage your cover so it lasts through the last poison round.

  • Cross interruption

    Pattern
    Spreads a smokescreen and vanishes, then cross-shaped interruptions appear twice in a row. Failing nearly wipes your squad.
    Counter
    You only need to break the center circle. Don't waste firepower on the outer circles.

  • Core regeneration (Anomaly)

    Pattern
    Each time you break the core it deals bonus damage, and the core regrows at stages 2, 4, 6 and 8.
    Counter
    Break the core on odd stages and let it regrow on the next even stage.

Recommendations may change as new Nikkes are released. Each team notes when its source was published.

Tribe Tower teams

Each Tribe Tower only allows Nikkes from that manufacturer. The Pilgrim/Overspec tower also allows Overspec Nikkes.

Missilis

The standard Missilis core plus Iron attacker Laplace.

No boss-specific source was found, so this is a team commonly used in this tower.

Good to know

  • In Anomaly Interception, dealing damage too fast can push you past a stage before you break the regrown core, which can actually cost you.
